We have teamed up with Arbroath's master fishmongers, E&O Fisheries and Arbroath Quality Seafood, to showcase their outstanding locally caught and smoked fish and seafood.

The team at E& O Fisheries know the best and freshest fish to buy when they go to the market as well as honing their skills in fish smoking when they get back to their shop.

E&O Fisheries specialise in Scottish seasonal fresh fish of the highest quality - just ask the locals who buy their fish from them! From local speciality Arbroath Smokies and smoked hake, fresh herring and hot smoked salmon, you'll find this tiny hive of activity located right at the edge of Arbroath's harbour.

When asked how best to eat a freshly roasted Smokie, the team at E&O are in agreement that this delicous, juicy golden smoked haddock needs no butter, lemon juice or cream. The best smokies require no added ingredient. They should be juicy and sweet with a smokey after taste. Eat them just as they are! Can't argue with that!

Arbroath Quality Seafood

Our divine crabs are locally caught in the icy cold waters near the Bellrock Lighthouse off the coast of Arbroath in the North East of Scotland by husband and wife team, Bob and Sharon Teviotdale, of Arbroath Quality Fish. Sustainably caught, dressed and delivered in under 24hrs.

With over 20 years experience in the local Arbroath fishing industry, Bob and Sharon have honed their skills for catching and preparing quality seafood and fish in Angus. Using his own boat, one of the last of it's kind in Arbroath Harbour, Bob tirelessly checks his traditional lobster pots which are strategically positioned in the waters near the Bellrock Lighthouse, some 10 miles off the coast of Arbroath. Every morning at the crack of dawn, Bob sustainably harvests both crabs and lobsters in these pots, using mackerel as bait, that he's also caught locally.

Bob returns back to Arbroath with his live crabs, where wife, Sharon begins the painstaking process of dressed their crustaceans. The crabs are humanly made dormant, then cooked and their delicious white and brown meat is meticulously removed by Sharon's fair hand. All this before noon!

Fresh Food Express is delighted to be offering Bob and Sharon's premium dressed crabs for UK wide delivery, especially since all their lobsters and crabs go direct to the Spanish market. Amazingly none of this fabulous local produce stays in the UK. Until now....
