WORLD FIRST SOCIAL ENTERPRISE GIN!

Add to wish list

NEW: Ginerosity, Pickerings Gin, Original, 50cl, Summerhall Distillery

The World's First Social Enterprise Gin

Ginerosity is a superb gin, mixing traditional botanicals with some more unusual flavours to give it a gentle modern twist.

Created by Pickering’s Gin at Summerhall Distillery in Edinburgh, Ginerosity is made using 10 ethically sourced botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica, lemon, lime, orange, lemon myrtle, heather, cardamom and cloves.

The result is a gin full of character. Fresh, light and bold, with citrus and juniper giving way to sweetness, a subtle hint of peppery spice and a crisp dry finish.

50 cl/ 40% Vol.

The team at Pickering’s have scooped several prestigious international spirits awards, including Best British Gin 2016.

The world's first social enterprise gin

We came up with the idea for Ginerosity because we believe passionately in the power of business and brands to do good.

With this unique gin, all profits are poured back into projects that will help deserving young adults to build themselves a better future. That isn’t just a worthwhile cause, it’s a vital one. And we’re exceptionally proud that we’re the first spirits company to do it.

Where exactly does the money go?

Ginerosity has partnered with the charity Challenges Worldwide to help young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds take part in International Citizenship Service (ICS) programmes.

ICS offers overseas placements that provide skills, training and personal development. Those wanting to join a placement can apply to Challenges Worldwide for a Ginerosity grant to help with fundraising requirements.

We have set up an independent panel who will review the funding applications (leaving the rest of us to get on with the important business of making and selling great gin). The panel will award grants to those who meet our criteria and will benefit most from the opportunity offered by the programme.

To qualify for funding from Ginerosity, applicants must be aged 18-25, come from one of the 13 areas of deprivation in Scotland and not be in education, employment or training.

Applications for the first round of funding have now opened – we encourage people to apply! Please visit the Challenges Worldwide and ICS sites for more information.

Meet the Producer: Pickerings, Summerhall Distillery

This multi award winning gin is hand crafted at Summerhall Distillery - the first exclusive gin distillery to be established in Edinburgh for over 150 years. Based on an original Bombay recipe, kept secret since 1947, Pickering’s comes in 3 delicious bootlings as well as the occasional limited edition. All of them spectacularly smooth and beautifully balanced. Perfect for all social animals.

Life is far too short to be waiting in for deliveries so we have 3 convenient delivery options for you:

1. We Can Deliver to Your Work Place

Just add your work address to the delivery address section and add any special instructions like “Tell Dotty on reception to keep her paws off my goodies”.

2. We Can Leave in a Safe Place at Your Home

Just let us know in the Delivery Instructions where you’d like us to leave your box. Our cheery couriers are experts in deliveries to sheds and garages. Somewhere cool and dark is best. Most of our customers choose this option and you must give us a safe place to leave your goods if we are delivering to your home address.

3. We Can Deliver to Your Neighbours

“Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours”. Do you have a good neighbour who would give a home to your fresh box? Perfect, just let us know in the Delivery Instructions. Goods can are best left in their box until you collect them from your neighbour.

Change of plan and you won’t be around on the day of delivery?

If the goods have been dispatched, our courier will contact you on the day of the delivery. If the goods haven't been dispatched, please contact us on 01241 830 693.

Don’t worry if you aren’t available to pop your fresh goodies in the fridge straight away, our super duper Wool Cool packaging keeps everything nicely chilled for up to 4 days (not that we'll need it!).
